Planner/Buyer
For Material Planning & Purchasing services in the Base Business area.
WHAT MAKES YOU A FIT:
The Technical Part:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Engineering and at least eight (8) years of previous exposure in Supply Chain activities within the regulated industry.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified preferred
- Bilingual: (Spanish and English)
- Shift: Administrative & according to business needs
- Experience in:
- Planning and Purchasing
- SAP
- GMP environment

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)
- Collects information regarding raw material, component and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules.
- Manages and/or maintains raw material inventory investment according to inventory entitlement models and drives improvement opportunities.
- Reviews and analyses statistical data to determine buying trends/volumes and to establish price objectives and/or opportunities.
- Compiles and analyses data related to procurement, scheduling and movement of materials and services to facilitate forecasting process. Makes recommendations to management regarding improving processes.
- Assures accuracy of database of suppliers of products used in manufacturing process.
- Prepares orders to vendors as directed for raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods and related material needed for production.
- Inventories goods received and identifies discrepancies in order quantity and price.
- Checks scheduled delivery dates and makes initial contact with suppliers on late deliveries.
- Escalates issues and notifies appropriate personnel/management as appropriate.
- Checks with warehouse and production regarding availability and movement of materials to detect shortages or overages.
- Supports evaluation of potential suppliers.
- Leads supplier or component S&OP as required.
- Identifies and drives Lean or Six Sigma improvement initiatives.
