Sr Associate EHS

For EHS services in the Occupational and Process Safety area. 

WHAT MAKES YOU A FIT: 

The Technical Part:

• Bachelor’s Degree and or an equivalent of two (2) years of exposure in the regulated industry. 
• Bilingual (Spanish and English). 
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills. 
• Shift: Administrative & according to business needs. Note: Special support for 3rd shift may be required.
• Experience in:
  • Software: Cority, Humantech, 3E.
  • Developing and recommending engineering, administrative, and PPE controls.
  • Collecting, calibrating, and interpreting industrial hygiene samples and monitoring data.
  • Incident investigations and root cause analyses related to occupational exposures.
  • Assessments for chemical, physical, and biological hazards such as air sampling, noise survey and dosimetry.

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)

• Provide Subject Matter expertise and specialist support in assigned areas and programs. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address industrial hygiene concerns, and any other safety concern, as necessary.
• Deliver training to employees on workplace hazards, safe work practices, and health protection measures.
• Provide technical expertise for the management of Environmental Health & Safety programs.
• Under minimal supervision, perform EH&S duties for program design, development and implementation. 
•  Ensure compliance with EH&S federal, state and local regulations.
• Develops new programs and implement changes as necessary.
• Prepare reports, responses to inquiries and conduct monitoring. 
• Design, develop and implement EH&S programs. Maintain & continuously improve EH&S programs to support Amgen operations for day-to-day operations.
•  Determine impact of new operations/processes/capital projects upon the EH&S programs. Developing program changes necessary to support business objectives.
• Analyze existing and future processes to identify cost-effective solutions to reduce EH&S impacts Internal Auditing.
