WHAT MAKES YOU A FIT: 

The Technical Part:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering and at least one (1) year of previous exposure in Purchasing and/or Production Control activities within the Pharmaceutical or Medical Devices industry.
  • Bilingual: (English & Spanish)
  • Shift: Administrative and according to business needs.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Excel, and Word; ERP (e.g JDE / SAP) preferred.
  • Experience in:
    • Market and economic indicators, practices and procurement procedures.

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)

  • Assist by expediting or deferring purchase orders.
  • Assist on the confirmation, verification of orders and request required documentation. 
  • Assure timely and accurate data on purchase order in terms of price quantity, delivery and confirmation dates and shipping notifications.
  • Escalate obstacles to meet the schedule.
  • Assist in the analysis of current EW and VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) levels to determine if VMI release is warranted.
  • Expedite purchase orders as required.  Includes expediting material from the receiving dock through receiving inspection, to production stores (e.g. warehouse).
  • Perform data analysis to identify the root cause of deviations (egg. material shortages, purchasing price variance (PPV), supplier delays, etc.).
  • Generate monthly weekly and daily KPIs.
  • Planner.
  • Assist in the execution of MRP (Material Requirement Planning) messages by providing a production plan.
  • Monitor the work orders.
  • Participate and execute cost reduction and cycle time reduction initiatives.
  • Update changes/parameters within MRP (Material Requirements Planning) in the Manufacturing Enterprise system.
