  • Bachelor’s degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related EH&S field) & five (5) years of experience in industrial hygiene in the pharmaceutical industry. 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • Bilingual: (Spanish and English)

  • Experience in:
    • Industrial Hygiene Program Administration

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)

  • Provide technical and regulatory guidance on environmental, industrial hygiene, and safety issues, focusing on recognizing, evaluating, and controlling physical, chemical, and environmental hazards.
  • Advise management on the proper procedures, work practices, and equipment to use to ensure compliance with all legal requirements and regulations in these fields.
  • Implements EHS self-assessment programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable local, federal, and company regulations and directives.
  • Administers Industrial Hygiene programs. 
  • Conducts monitoring as appropriate, performs the equipment calibrations as required, and sends samples to an external laboratory.
  • Maintains Industrial Hygiene records and recommends control measures to management.
  • Review the Hazard Communication program, including annual SDS updates and the inventory of chemical substances, to ensure compliance.
  • Conducts fitting tests for employees and calibrates equipment for all regulatory monitoring practices.
  • Participate in process hazard reviews of new and existing equipment to address industrial hygiene issues.
  • Guides the proper selection of personal protective equipment.
  • Perform ergonomics assessments for office and field environments.
  • Support the emergency response team to ensure the facility is prepared in the event of an emergency.
  • Support the incident investigations program to determine the root cause, develop an action plan to avoid recurrence, and follow up to ensure improvements.
