The Technical Part:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and at least five (5) years of exposure to construction quality control and assurance in federally funded projects.
- Shift: Administrative and according to business needs.
- On-site support and travel to various project locations within different municipalities are required.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish (verbal/written).
- Experience in:
- Project Management (specifically related to federal projects).
- Quality Control/Assurance.
- Construction Documentation and Reporting.
- USACE or FEMA construction standards is highly desirable.

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)
- Develop and implement comprehensive Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) plans specific to federally funded construction projects, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and standards.
- Conduct thorough on-site inspections and audits at various construction phases, meticulously documenting compliance with project specifications, federal guidelines, and safety protocols.
- Manage and maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports, inspection logs, material certifications, and compliance records, ensuring all documents meet federal record-keeping requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and federal agency representatives to address quality-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Perform materials testing and verification to ensure compliance with project specifications and federal standards, utilizing appropriate testing equipment and procedures.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to safety regulations, including OSHA standards and project-specific safety plans, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
- Prepare and submit detailed quality reports to project stakeholders and federal agencies, highlighting compliance status, identified deficiencies, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all federal environmental regulations and permits, including erosion control, stormwater management, and hazardous materials handling.
- Utilize project management software and databases to track progress, manage documentation, and communicate with stakeholders.
- Ensure that all work performed adheres to USACE or FEMA standards as applicable to the project.
- Utilize RMS or similar USACE software to document and manage project quality.
- Review contractor submittals for compliance with project specifications and federal requirements.
- Conduct pre-construction meetings with contractors to review quality requirements and expectations.
- Manage the three phases of control: Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-up inspections.
