WHAT MAKES YOU A FIT: 

The Technical Part:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Senior automation engineering professional with 10+ years of experience in robotics/ASRS systems within manufacturing and distribution environments.
  • Recognized technical authority in system architecture, controls/software standards, and OT/IT integration.
  • Proven leader in multi-vendor project delivery, including design, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and system turnover.
  • Expert in troubleshooting complex cross-functional issues and driving root cause resolution with preventive actions.
  • Strong track record of delivering performance outcomes and effectively collaborating with stakeholders while mentoring teams.

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)

  • Define and lead enterprise technical strategy for robotics and ASRS, including scalable architectures, subsystem boundaries, and performance targets.
  • Establish reference architectures, design principles, and interface standards to ensure consistency across sites and vendors.
  • Lead end-to-end system integration across PLC/HMI, safety systems, robotics, and WMS/WES/WCS/EMS platforms.
  • Drive OT/IT architecture decisions, including industrial networking, middleware, cybersecurity, and system availability.
  • Implement technical governance through design reviews, architecture boards, and readiness gates ensuring quality and traceability.
  • Oversee commissioning and qualification activities (FAT, SAT, integrated testing, cutover, hypercare) to meet operational KPIs.
  • Lead complex issue resolution, root cause analysis, and ensure sustainable performance (throughput, accuracy, uptime).
  • Provide technical oversight of OEMs and integrators, influencing scope, cost, schedule, and enforcing accountability.
  • Ensure functional safety, compliance, and risk management, including safety design, validation, and operational readiness.
  • Drive program planning, resource forecasting, technical risk mitigation, and successful handover to operations with standards, training, and sustainment models.
