  • Master’s degree in Planning (Urban or Social), with at least seven (7) years of experience as an Urban Planner, or Social Planner.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish).
  • Shift: Administrative and according to business needs.
  • Hybrid support: 80% In-Person and 20% Remote.
  • Strong analytical and research skills and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in:
    • Supervising planning resources or or leading planning projects.

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)​​​​​​

  • Lead and advise in the identification and implementation of methodology and tools to conduct a census that collects vulnerabilities and potential housing risks, as well as any other necessary data or information.
  • Design and determine the workplan schedule of site visits and approach for access coordination.
  • Oversee the preparation of a detailed workplan schedule of site visits and coordination access to the assessment area with community representatives and residents.
  • Guide and review the documentation developed by the junior planning resource prior to submission.
  • Coordinate and oversee the data gathering activities related to assessment of vulnerabilities and potential housing risks.
  • Oversee the data gathering activities of any other necessary data or information.
  • Oversee and coordinate with junior planning resource the interviewing process of current residents and other relevant stakeholders specified in the methodology to gather information on any known vulnerability and risks.
  • Lead the preparation of a detailed report that summarizes the findings from census activities and data collected, and incorporating planning analysis into a comprehensive report, with a focus on evaluating vulnerabilities and potential housing risks.
  • Guide and review the documentation developed by the junior planning resource. Ensure final documents meet PRDOH expectations prior to submission.
  • Oversee and support the coordination of the final presentation to the community.
  • Oversee and support the development of an accessible presentation for community members in a language that ensures community engagement and action. 
  • Perform the final presentation to the community.
