WHAT MAKES YOU A FIT:
The Technical Part:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and at least five (5) years of exposure to construction safety in federally funded projects.
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification is required.
- Shift: Administrative and according to business needs.
- On-site support and travel to various project locations within different municipalities are required.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish (verbal/written).
- Experience in:
- Developing and implementing site-specific safety plans.
- Conducting safety audits and inspections and providing safety training.
- Incident Investigations and Reporting.
- Hazard identification and risk assessment.

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)
- Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans in compliance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Perform job hazard analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
- Investigate and report all accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct safety training and toolbox talks for construction personnel on relevant safety topics.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Ensure that all subcontractors comply with project safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation, including inspection reports, training records, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and federal agency representatives to address safety-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with all federal environmental regulations and permits, including hazardous materials handling.
- Utilize project management software and databases to track safety performance, manage documentation, and communicate with stakeholders.
- Conduct pre-construction safety meetings with contractors to review safety requirements and expectations.
- Ensure all safety documentation complies with applicable USACE or FEMA standards.
