The Technical Part:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science and five (3+) years of exposure to EHS activities within the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry.
  • OSHA 30 hours certification, General or Construction Industry. 
  • Shift: Administrative and according to business needs.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English).
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Willing to relocate. 
  • Experience in:
    • Field and construction activities. 
    • Collaborating with project teams, contractors, and facility personnel to identify hazards, implement safety measures, and foster a strong safety culture across diverse work environments.

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)

  • Assist in the development, execution, and monitoring of EHS plans to ensure alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements in construction zones across manufacturing, administrative, and laboratory areas.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections in all construction areas to identify potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance with safety procedures. Report findings and follow through on corrective actions.
  • Work closely with contractors to ensure they adhere to site-specific safety protocols and regulatory standards, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing manufacturing and laboratory operations.
  • Implement risk management strategies, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures, specifically tailored to the unique challenges of construction in operational manufacturing and lab environments.
  •  Deliver safety orientations and toolbox talks to construction crews, ensuring they are fully aware of site-specific hazards and safety procedures. Facilitate ongoing training to enhance the safety knowledge of all personnel.
  • Lead or assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents to determine root causes and provide corrective actions. Coordinate emergency response efforts for construction-related incidents.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory standards, while maintaining a close liaison with regulatory agencies when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, permits, and records related to construction activities. Ensure all safety procedures and plans are up-to-date and readily accessible.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of emergency response plans, ensuring timely and effective incident response within the construction zones.
